What is a 'operatic scena'?
a dramatic section of an opera, for solo singers, that includes a recitative, arioso, and arias
an accompanied section of a libretto or a specially composed dramatic piece for a solo singer presented in concert
Now i understand music doing a degree in the subject, but this doesnt make sense to me, how would these definitions apply to a real piece?
1. A subdivision or scene of an opera.
2. The recitative part of a larger vocal number within an opera.

I guess you could think of it as a scene from a play only with music.
