This link has a few of the steps needed. To teach in Australia you also need a blue card which certifies to an extent that your are 'safe' to work around children, so if you have any convictions in relation to children like child abuse, paedophilia, child porn then theres no chance at all you can teahc in Australia.

I believe you need a Bachelors Degree in teaching with two majors to teach, I think. Or you can complete any degree and then do a Diploma of Teaching on top, So i assume your degree is music related, after you have for eg. your Bachelor of Music you would then need to do a Diploma of Teaching.
Also depending which State you move to, it's different. The Queensland education system is different to that of New South Wales, however in a couple of years they're planning to synchronize the both so that they're the same.
You also have to register with the state/territory your working in:
Queensland - http://www.qct.edu.au/
Victoria - http://www.vit.vic.edu.au/content.asp?Document_ID=1
Western Australia - http://www.wacot.wa.edu.au/index.php?section=1
New South Wales - http://www.nswteachers.nsw.edu.au/
Tasmania - http://www.trb.tas.gov.au/
Australia Capital Territory - http://www.det.act.gov.au/
Northern Territory - http://www.trb.nt.gov.au/
South Australia - http://www.trb.sa.edu.au/
So if you know where your moving to (Queensland if you want an opinion), then contact your respective Teachers registration.
