Nokia 5310 Xpress Music - Lets the music flow into your life
The Nokia 5310 Xpress Music released in October 2007, is indeed one of the phones from Nokia that give good value for money. It a very inexpensive piece of device but certainly cannot be understated. It extremely light weight with just 71 grams and at it's sleekest self with a thickness of just 9.9 mm. It comes with a very normal looking display of 2.1 inches TFT screen. The left side of the display is flanked by a row of three dedicated music keys. The XpressMusic branding of this device ascertains that it's supposed to be a healthy music player and so it turns out to be. The audio player can play a variety of audio file formats that include MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC and WMA (Windows Media Audio).
The sleek and handy 5310 is available in attractive looking colours of Red, Blue, Pink and Black. The design looks really neat and overall the phone presents a nice aesthetic sense. The internal memory of this phone is 30MB with a scope to further expand it up to 8GB by using microSD cards. It's equipped with Class32 GPRS and EDGE and makes use of a WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML (Opera mini) web browser to give convenient access to the internet even while on the go. Bluetooth with A2DP and USB allows free and convenient exchange and sharing of various data including music that can be stored in the phone memory. Messages can be sent and received in this phone in the form of SMSs, MMSs, IMs and Emails.
The back of the phone sports a decent 2 mega pixel camera with video recording capability as well. To expand the limits of entertainment, a stereo FM radio with RDS is also added to the ensemble. The radio has a smart feature called the Visual radio where specific visual information is broadcast along with the FM transmission. Some interesting and interactive games have also been added like the Snake II, Music Guess and Towerbloxx.
This impressive device runs on a standard Li-Ion battery (BL-4CT) which gives a decent talk time of over 5 hours and a stand-by time of up to 300 hours. The Nokia 5310 Xpress Music also has some additional features that make it more interesting- like the World Clock II and Converter II applications that might come handy. It also has Nokia sensor, Nokia mobile search, stopwatch, voice command/ dial and T9. All in all a really nice music phone with not much of the jazzy applications but with decent and simple looking features.
