Wind Band Music
Participate in a band (as a set of wind)?
I'm a college student in the Twin Cities area seeking to engage in a band, like a wind ensemble, jazz band, or orchestra. How I can go about doing that? I'm not looking for anything professional (such as c /. Orchestra paul chamber or anything) just something for fun. I do not like the music department at my school so I was hoping to participate beyond. How I can find groups to join?
Contact private instructors in your area that teach your instrument and see if you know of a chamber orchestra local or wind ensembles. Please contact the music departments at local universities or colleges and ask their local Depts any joint. In general, they know. Also check with other students that play your instrument (in some cases advanced students already working in these local groups). I hope this helps you and good luck.
