Why do you think Rock n Roll music has basically vanished?
It seems that began to collapse a few times in the years 80, tried to revive in the early 90s and now it's just a strip of gender. Classic Rock is still popular I guess, but I'm talking about new bands and new releases. Do not people listen to rap or Britney Spears than the drums and guitar?
Sadly it seems = / I think what has happened in the years 50 and before that, the music never made bold statements were nice just to play tunes on the radio. Then in the 60s was a great revolution musical, social and spiritual, everyone was expanding their minds and experimentation and suddenly had something to believe, and the music of the period reflects this, began to carry messages and opinions that those arrested close to their hearts, the same happened in the 70s, people writing songs of protest and message delivery politicians through music, so the music still had the underlying meaning that people can really connect on a deep level ..... Then came the 80's .... Synthesizers and sequencers were invented, shiny metallic fabric and ridiculous hair became the new glue that held a generation together, unlike previous philosophies of peace, love, harmony and freedom that in fact there was any substance, and people moved away from using natural expandatory earthly mind drugs like marijuana and LSD and instead began to appear synthetic drugs man game, making them more interested in dancing the night away from what we really care what happens in the world. So completely empty of meaning and pure emotion, the music of the 80s became Cheap sweet now that the people ate and spat without inspiring a single thought or emotion in them. And the music was coming from the heart more genuine rock music as the raw cost to show up. It was not the exception of a few big bands like Guns and Roses and Motley Crue and AC / DC and INXS and stuff, but not necessarily convey strong messages of more, rather than by example and pushed the idea of living in excess, which in some ways, was a shot from 60 back to a philosophy Neitsch approved by Jim Morrison, to live and think in the chaos induced by the excess, which was total freedom and enlightenment of madness, in one way but not telling us the message was the message.
