R.I.P. We've lost some Vegan Celebrities
COMMON'S INTERVIEW
Q: Alright just one more, a little lighter thing. I had heard you are a vegan but I read something saying you went back to fish. What’s up with that?
A: Yeah, I eat fish, man. I needed some protein. I’ve been eating fish for like two years now, two and a half years. It’s great too. I’m glad to be eating it. It was tough being vegan. I salute all vegans and vegetarians.
DREW BARRYMORE
"I still don't eat a ton of meat, and I don't wear a ton of leather," she told imdb.com.
"But I just don't put strict limitations on myself anymore. I don't beat myself up. I didn't wear certain designers because I didn't want any animals to suffer for beauty and stuff, and so I literally was dressed by Old Navy at one point.
"I still shop there, happily. And Urban Outfitters and the Gap - I love those stores. You need basics for stability, but eventually I got tired and wanted to play again. Dressing is like an art form - it's so much fun."
______________________________
This makes me quite sad, but like I've said in the past, if you're vegan because of diet it won't last. If you EVER cared about the safety of animals, you would NEVER return to eating meat. Your conscience wouldn't even allow you to chew an animal, let alone swallow and digest one. Willpower ... it's all about willpower and selflessness. Some people can handle it, others just want blood on their lips. What else is there to say?

Where did you get the source that Olivia Lane is no longer vegan? Are you sure it's true? I heard that's just a rumor. I sat next to her once in 'Snice about a year ago and she seemed really sweet and down-to-Earth. I can't believe she's not vegan anymore!
Oh, by the way, I love CSI: Miami! Have you ever been to any of the shootings for the show? Is there really that much crime in Miami? I hope to visit one day.
I heard about Olivia Lane from her old blog Supervegan.
I'm sure she would have something to say about it if it wasn't true.
CSI:Miami is not real. There is crime everywhere. Yes, Miami attracts fugitives because of the shoreline, but there are some bad areas. Miami for the most part is safe and beautiful.
You'll enjoy visiting here, for sure! =)
it's a rumor.
from olivia: organicgoddess, thanks for looking out for me (I think that's how you meant it), but I really couldn't care less if people read the "silly link" and don't interpret it as a gag. What does it mean if people who don't know me think I abandoned veganism? I guess that's what that April 1, 2007 article explored and what Common's outing of himself as an omnivore is causing us to explore.
That link was an april fools link! Look at the date! :)
To Olivia, if that's really you. At my age, I don't acknowledge April Fool's Day. And in the age of Google searches, people don't look at dates when they read blogs. Someone should delete that post, otherwise the rumor will spread. No, I wasn't looking out for you because as you said, "I don't know you." =)
