Happy World Vegetarian Day - Go Vegan for 30 days!!!!

Hello Beautiful Souls,

As you know, I'm a vegan, not a vegetarian. Going vegan is usually the next step after someone takes meat out of their diets. Eggs, milk, cheese and butter are not that great and should be easy to give up too. Eggs are gross, milk has puss and blood in it, and butter is disgusting!

If you need help, please email me. The animals will thank you, and your body will be deliriously happy and healthy. Muah!!

I've been wanting to try sublime, but my hubby would probably eat ONE thing on the menu. Hah.

I have tried Hakin in NMB, and while the menu is very limited, I found the homemade vibe of the food comforting. It's also delicious! I like the gingered tofu, the curry tofu, and the rice/beans are always nice. The juices are tremendously good. My faves are the mango, the cucumber, the carrot, and the guava. I hope they get enough business to be able to expand the daily menu and add soups and more side veggies and maybe a nice raw fruit pie kind of dessert.

Hakin is also a very cool person, very amiable. As is the cook, "British".

Hi Mirtika,

Please take your husband to Sublime. I've taken my entire meat-eating family and they loved it.

They have food that looks like regular food and tastes like it.

Yes, Hakin is amazing. You need to try John Schott's food if you want to have real living food that just overwhelms you. Or go to Glaser Farms on Grand Avenue in the Grove on Saturdays.

The cook at Hakin's is Mr. English. :)

ciao
