One of my really good friends owns a new vegan/vegetarian restaurant in North Miami called, Vegetarian Restaurant by Hakin.
This is what I ate yesterday with my father and niece. Neither of them is veg but they really enjoyed it. I had watermelon juice (made from scratch) and this special of the day.
Tofu Fish (realistic texture without fishy smell)
Curried Tofu
Red beans and potato
Rice
Cucumber Tomato Salad
They have 3 portions, $4, $6, $9. This must be the $9 one because I couldn't finish it. Very tasty and very flavorful. No wait, I also had a vegetable and soy burger wheat patty. DELICIOUS!!!!! =)
Hakin is a very spiritual man and puts a lot of love into his meals. You will enjoy it!

T-Mex (South Beach) ~ Review
235 14th St
Miami Beach, FL 33139-4206
Phone: (305) 538-3009
The burrito was good and it was only $3. They obviously have a larger version (which I had last year) and it has a lot more ingredients. Make sure you say, "No sour cream or cheese." Ask for the Veg Chili Loco sauce in whatever you choose.
Everything is made from scratch. The place was filled with people on a Friday night. It's dark and cozy in there. You feel like you are in a secret little hiding spot just for locals and people in the know, like me.
They also have Vegetarian Nachos, Tacos, Taco Burgers, Taco Salad and Enchiladas.
Check it out! =)

Gardenburger Vegan Ribs - Review

Now, I have to be honest. I was skeptical as hell about eating anything that resembles real ribs, but I decided to try these ... just so I can blog about it. Do you believe me?
Gardenburger has something called Vegan Riblets. They taste like the McRib sandwich at McDonald's. Probably the same thing.
My vote: UNBELIEVABLY DELICIOUS!!! Put it in a wheat bun and Wow!
They come two in a package. I'm not going to get them anymore because I really don't like to eat microwaved food, but you should at least try it once. =)
