Way Japan Music
Why do people in other countries listen to American music?
Okay so forgive me for the ridiculous sounding title but I couldn't think of a way to ask this. I was wondering why people in like Paris/Spain/Japan etc, listen to American music. Can they even understand what the music means? And why are American celebritys so popular in their country as well as our own. It doesn't really make sense to me. I've never listened to french music or Spanish music. Please explain, I'm so confused...?
oh yeah forgot to say, it doesn't bother me at all. I'm just a curious person=)
well if you think about it... english generally is an international language, i would have to say that most people from the foreign countries that listen to "american" or english spoken music understand the language... i personally have listened to songs spoken in other languages and have enjoyed the song merely for its sound and not the lyrics...
music from the united states is such a diverse pop culture its entertainment is seen worldwide.. im american and lived in japan for two years... there were clubs there with english titles with dj's that played only american hip hop, and all the japanese locals there spoke english, danced, and even sang along with the songs lol
